Break in Arisaig

We always love going up to the west coast of Scotland and I remember many holidays as a child in the static caravan at Arisaig with my parents and sister. The smell of lino and the sound of rain on the windows always sticks in my head! So it was a treat to head back up there with my family for a week in May. Best time to go as there is not a midge in sight. The beaches are staggeringly beautiful and barely a soul on them. Plenty of room for drawing big pictures of dinosaurs in the sand :-) Fresh air, sandcastles, ice cream, a ferry trip and a steam train meant two very tired but very happy children. It's just good for the soul.
