Raising awareness about Pancreatic Cancer

November is Pancreatic Cancer awareness month and I was asked by Pancreatic Cancer UK to photograph an event at the Scottish Parliament. What an emotional evening. I wasn't prepared to be teary eyed when hearing real and heartfelt stories about personal loss from some of the speakers. It's not a cancer that is at the forefront of our minds when you compare it to breast, bowel or lung cancer but it is vital that awareness is shared with our family and friends. This charity does such amazing work and were it not for this event I certainly wouldn't be typing these words and you wouldn't be reading this.
